Your Money Beliefs – How They Affect Your Business

Money, money, money…. How does an inanimate object have so much power over so many?
The one pattern that I have coached more business owners on than almost anything else is poor money beliefs and the impact that is having on the success of their business.
How is your belief around money impacting your business and your ability to attract wealth and abundance?
When someone talks to you about money, do you get an “ick” feeling in the pit of your stomach? Do you think that everyone who has money has screwed someone over to have it? Do you control money, does money control you?
The problem with having negative emotions related to money is that it creates unresourceful emotion that impacts your interactions-whether you realise it or not. If you are uncomfortable with money, that will impact the value you place on your business products and services. This means that you’re probably not charging what your product or service is worth. When it comes to the sales chat and you’re talking about what your product or service costs, you’re probably inadvertently projecting your negative feelings to your prospect. This does nothing to build certainty within the mind of your prospect, and it’s likely they will either not do business with you, or they will talk you down on price.
How do you change this?
Beliefs around money are one of the fundamental systems that we develop very early in life. What impact do you think the belief that “money doesn’t grow on trees” has on the way you experience the world?
The first step is realising that you are holding negativity around money. Start to consider how this plays out in your everyday interactions and how that impacts your business and life. Once you realise the impact, the desire to shift it can become pretty powerful.

I also work with clients to really explore the relationship around money to start to shift things. Once you’re motivated to change this, AND you realise that money neither creates evil nor good, but amplifies it, you can choose how you’re going to live in alignment to your values, while making, spending, saving and giving money!
